When One Door Closes…

As many of you know, my photography business, Aliana Bruce Photography, is my passion. Photography is what makes my heart sing and I have been incredibly blessed to meet so many amazing people over the years and capture their precious memories.

However, in these unprecedented times, my business had to go on hold. In the interest of social distancing, there’s simply no way to safely arrange photoshoots. For the last few weeks, I’ve been thinking about what to do with my free time while photography is on pause (and of course looking for other ways to put food on the table).

Like many of you, I’ve been baking, exploring new recipes and finding ways to ration ingredients (needs must, right?!). After chatting on the phone to a friend, she recommended I try her Thermomix, which had “changed her life”. A likely story, I thought. But then again, why not?

Well, ladies and gentlemen, she wasn’t kidding. The Thermomix is one of those rare beasts, a kitchen appliance which earns its spot on the counter. It proofs bread, it blends veg into a sauce, it steams, chops, simmers, grates and kneads. It really does do it all.

I was so impressed I’m buying my own. Even with money being tight, I could see how much further it could make our food go, and how much more enjoyable mealtime could be with restaurant-quality meals. Now, that part needs restating…. Restaurant. Quality. Meals.

I was so amazed by the Thermomix that I started talking with some of my friends about it. It turns out I’m not the only one who’s a convert! One of my good friends is married to Guilherme Carvalho who is a chef for Gloucester Rugby and Brazilian Woman's Football team and in his professional kitchen he has no less than THREE Thermomixes. So not only is it good for good fresh hearty comfort food, it is great for healthy and nutritious food for athletes too!

If you’ve ever eaten something I’ve made, you’ll know I’m no chef, far from it. But so far, every meal I’ve made with the Thermomix has turned out perfect. It’s the stuff dreams are made of!

Now, all of this leads us to where we are today. You’re on a Thermomix website after all! When I was purchasing my Thermomix from a salesperson (no sales push needed) she noticed how passionate I was about the appliance and suggested I might like to share the love with others as an approved sales rep.

I’m NOT a natural salesperson. I’m also incredibly sceptical about sales programs, always cautious of anything that might be deemed a pyramid or ‘MLM’ scheme. But this is neither. I’m purely a representative for Thermomix, wanting to share with others how impressed I am with this piece of kit.

I will NOT be pushing a sale on you during these stressful times. I will NOT be hounding you to make a purchase. But I WILL be here to answer any questions, and to walk you through the different ways a Thermomix might help you based on what you want to create in the kitchen.

I’ll leave you with my 10 favourite easy recipes so far, to see them in detail access Cookidoo (it’s free for 30 days for you to see all the amazing recipes)
