Outdoor Sessions Are Back!

What You Need To Know

Following the most recent government announcement, I’m incredibly relieved to announce that I’ll once again be able to offer outdoor photography sessions. The last few months have been difficult in all sorts of ways, and while we’re not out of the woods, so to speak, a return to some form of normality fills me with joy.

Of course, your safety is always my top priority, and so I’ve made some changes to the way I will conduct my sessions to keep to the social distancing measures. The main changes are that I will only be offering outdoor sessions where we can safely keep 2m away at all times. The sessions will also be slightly shorter than usual.

Understandably, my studio will remain closed for the foreseeable future, which rules out any newborn sessions. To respect the government’s guidelines, all family sessions can only be with members of the household, so no grandparents or extended family. However, I hope that by offering outdoor sessions for families, babies and pregnancy, we can ensure that you’re able to capture priceless moments safely and efficiently.

While the middle of a pandemic may, on the surface, seem like a strange time to arrange a photoshoot, nothing could be further from the truth. This is truly a once-in-a-lifetime situation which we will all remember for years to come - a photo session will capture this moment in time for you to look back on when life returns to normal.

If you have children, you’ve probably noticed just how quickly they’ve grown over the last few weeks - and I don’t just mean physically (constant snacking anyone?!). Kids are amazingly adaptable to their surroundings and seem to thrive on the extra time spent at home, even if we don’t feel like we’re giving them the best of us. A photo session records these changes and will be a fond memory when we go back to the daily routine complete with school runs and extracurricular activities.

Like everyone, I’ve been amazed at the courage and commitment that those healthcare workers on the frontline have shown since all this began. As a small way to show my support, for all sessions booked in May and June, I’ll be donating 50% of the session fee to my local hospital. You can also donate to them directly please ask me for their contact details.

If you’d like to arrange a family, baby or maternity photoshoot, please don’t hesitate to contact me so I can talk you through the process and book your session. Shoots will take place in outdoor spaces around the Guildford area.

And to cheer up the grandparents I will be offering both sets of grandparents a 6X8 print and will post it directly to their home address.

Do you have a special spot off the beaten trail that you’d like to have your photos taken?

Let’s discuss your options!
