Studio Sessions Are Back!
What You Need To Know
Following the most recent government announcement, I’m incredibly relieved to announce that I’ll once again be able to offer studio photography sessions.
At Aliana Bruce Photography safety is my main priority at all times, including flu season and during this epidemic. Because I work closely with vulnerable clients including newborns, small children and pregnant women, I would like you to know that I am not taking the current coronavirus outbreak lightly. I am sure you have concerns about remaining safe and healthy at this time, too.
I would like to share the current steps I am taking to ensure the studio environment remains safe and clean for your photo session.
Before the session
A few days before the session, I will ask if clients, or any members of their immediate family have been unwell, or had a temperature
Asking clients to reschedule if they feel unwell, even if it is mild
Deep cleaning of the studio after every session and prior to new clients arriving
I will only book a maximum of 2 newborn sessions a week.
Not reusing props until they have been deep cleaned and left isolated for 48 hours after use
Hands will be sanitised by myself and clients before entering the studio and as clients leave
The session
Immediate family only for the session (excluding furry friends)
Minimal contact wherever possible
Newborn sessions – slight changes will be made to my workflow, to include more wrapped/swaddled shots and shorter sessions
Sitter sessions – I will rely on the parent/s to move their little one back into position
No shoes or coats to be worn inside the studio
Unfortunately no props from home can be brought into the studio
Sadly I am now unable to offer studio refreshments, except bottled water
Asking clients to leave immediately if they present with a cough, fever or any other symptoms and carrying out a deep clean of the studio environment
All materials used during each session (wraps, blankets, maternity gowns, baby outfits) will be washed between sessions
PPE and sanitiser
A mask will be worn by me at all times
Clients will be asked to bring their own masks
Hand sanitiser will be available to use throughout the session
I will wear cotton clothing that will be washed and fresh for each session
Toilet facilities
In the event that a member of your family needs to use the toilet, I want to assure you that the space will be thoroughly disinfected before and after use, including door handles, light switches, soap dispenser, taps and all surfaces. A freshly washed hand towel will be provided for you to dry your hands.
If you or your child feel unwell with respiratory or viral symptoms (even mild) or have been in contact with anyone who is symptomatic before your session, please contact me as soon as possible so we can reschedule to another time. If anyone attending the session appears to have a cough, fever or other symptoms of a virus, the session will be halted and all clients will be asked to leave immediately. If I (or anyone in my household) becomes unwell or comes into contact with anyone exhibiting symptoms, you will be notified immediately and we can reschedule for a better time. I am committed to protecting my clients at all times.
